Actively protecting cables worth billions of pounds in every ocean of the world with an ‘always on’ 24/7 team that monitors vessel behaviour. If there are any signs of activity that could lead to contact with assets UltramapGlobal is monitoring, its team will contact the vessel or appropriate authorities. Preventing damage to subsea assets and avoiding incidents that could cause serious harm to the vessels and its crew.

UltramapGlobal’s partnership with Abingdon began when Co-Founders Martin Connelly and Andrew Desforges recognised a need to secure the long-term future of the organisation. Whilst Martin and Andrew are not planning immediate exits from the business, they wanted to ensure that the right structure was in place for continued success when this time does come. Abingdon’s ‘buy and hold’ model means that UltramapGlobal can undertake this process with full autonomy and independence, ensuring it retains the robust processes that have made the organisation a leader in its field.

Martin, Andrew and the wider UltramapGlobal team has constantly evolved the world-class technology and infrastructure behind AssetMonitor®. Continuing this evolution and ensuring that the software meets the ever changing demands of the industry is vital to both Abingdon and UltramapGlobal.

UltramapGlobal will be utilising Abingdon’s global network and extensive technical expertise to input on ongoing projects including initiating cyber security initiatives and leveraging our extensive network for expanding go-to-market strategy.
